Event security supporting the 2025 British Judo Championships in Nottingham
Innovative Security Solutions provided event security for the 2025 British Judo Championships at the David Ross Sports Village, University of Nottingham. The two-day national championship brought together nearly 800 registered judoka from clubs across Great Britain, with Pre-Cadet, Cadet, Junior and Senior competition taking place across seven mats under one roof. With competitors, coaches, officials, spectators and event personnel moving through the venue across a full weekend programme, the security operation needed to support the event without disrupting the competition. Strong advance planning and a professional on-site ISS presence supported safe and smooth delivery from opening through to completion, with positive feedback received from organisers and attendees.
Security supporting a busy national sporting event
The British Judo Championships brought four competition categories together across one weekend, with Cadets and Juniors competing on Saturday and Pre-Cadets and Seniors on Sunday.
For the first time in this format, competition was delivered across seven mats under one roof at the David Ross Sports Village.
The venue needed to accommodate competitors, coaches, officials, spectators and event personnel while maintaining the timetable and movement required around an active national championship.
