Security that works around your people, premises and working day

Corporate and commercial environments need security that provides control without making the workplace feel restrictive. Innovative Security Solutions deploys directly employed officers who are trained and briefed on the premises they support, so they understand how the building operates, who normally uses it and what they need to be alert to.

As officers get to know the site teams, regular visitors, contractors, suppliers and normal access arrangements, routine activity becomes easier to manage and anything unusual is easier to pick up.

DIRECT EMPLOYMENT
Directly employed security teams

Our officers are employed directly by Innovative Security Solutions. We do not rely on subcontracted guarding, giving us greater control over recruitment, training, site familiarisation, supervision and the standards delivered on site.

Different workplace users need different levels of access and support

Corporate buildings bring together people who use the site in very different ways. Staff may move freely through parts of the building, visitors may need to be met and directed, contractors may require temporary access, and suppliers may only need to reach specific areas. Our officers learn how different people use the building and work to the agreed access arrangements without holding up the normal working day.

01

Staff & regular building users

Our officers become familiar with the teams working on site, normal access patterns and the parts of the building people use day to day. That familiarity helps routine access move smoothly while making unusual activity easier to recognise.

02

Visitors & meetings

Visitors may arrive for meetings, interviews, events or appointments with different teams. Our officers support reception and visitor handling, confirm access where required and make sure guests are directed to the right person or area.

03

Contractors & suppliers

Maintenance teams, engineers, cleaners, couriers and other suppliers often need access to areas that normal visitors do not. We work to the site’s agreed arrangements for authorisation, temporary access, deliveries and restricted areas so the right people can get where they need to be, so contractors can get to the areas they need without gaining access to the rest of the building.

04

Multi-tenant buildings

Where several organisations share a building, our officers become familiar with the different tenants, common areas and access arrangements across the site. This allows them to support the shared reception and public areas while respecting the separate controls each tenant may have in place.

Keeping access controlled without slowing the working day

Once the normal movement of the building is understood, the next job is making sure exceptions are handled properly. Our officers work to the site’s agreed access arrangements, check where access is unclear and escalate anything that falls outside the expected pattern rather than allowing convenience to override control.

01

Reception & entry points

Our officers manage the first point of contact for staff, visitors, contractors and deliveries, checking access where required and making sure people are directed through the correct route.

02

Restricted & sensitive areas

Some parts of the building may only be accessible to specific teams or authorised personnel. Our officers work to those permissions and challenge or escalate access where somebody is trying to enter an area they would not normally use.

03

Temporary & exceptional access

Engineers, contractors, visiting teams or senior guests may occasionally need access outside their normal permissions. We follow the agreed authorisation process so temporary access is controlled, recorded where required and closed again once the need has passed.

04

Deliveries & service access

Couriers, catering suppliers, maintenance teams and other deliveries may use separate entrances or service areas. Our officers help keep those movements organised and prevent service access from becoming an uncontrolled route into the wider building.

A professional security presence that supports the workplace

In a corporate environment, the officer at front of house is often one of the first people staff, visitors and suppliers interact with. Our officers combine security awareness with a professional, helpful presence, supporting the day-to-day operation of the building while still dealing with access concerns, incidents or anything outside the normal routine.

01
First point of contact
Our officers welcome and assist visitors, respond to routine enquiries and help people reach the right team or area without losing sight of the security requirements around entry to the building.
02
Supporting reception & workplace teams
Depending on the site, officers can work alongside reception, facilities and building-management teams, helping with visitor arrivals, contractor access, deliveries and other day-to-day activity around front of house.
03
Professional presence
Presentation and communication matter in a corporate environment. Our officers represent the site professionally while maintaining the confidence and authority needed to challenge, intervene or escalate when required.
04
Security when the situation changes
A routine interaction can quickly become an access issue, difficult visitor or security incident. Our officers can move from customer-facing support to a security response without needing the issue passed to somebody unfamiliar with the site.

Security that adapts as the workplace changes

Corporate buildings can be very different from one day to the next. Hybrid working, late meetings, events, contractors and quieter periods all change who is in the building and which areas need more attention. We adjust deployment, patrols and access arrangements when the normal setup no longer fits what is happening on site.

01

Hybrid working & quieter days

When fewer staff are in, some entrances, floors and shared areas become much quieter. We shift officer attention and patrols towards the areas with less day-to-day activity.

02

Late working & extended access

Employees, contractors or senior teams may need access outside normal business hours. We work to the agreed out-of-hours arrangements so legitimate access can continue without leaving the wider building unnecessarily open.

03

Meetings, events & higher visitor numbers

Large meetings, conferences, recruitment days or corporate events can temporarily increase visitor numbers and pressure around reception. We can adjust front-of-house coverage, visitor handling and access support for the period.

04

Contractor & maintenance activity

Planned works, maintenance and specialist projects can bring unfamiliar people onto site and require temporary access to controlled areas. We make sure the security team is briefed on the activity and that access arrangements reflect what is happening on the day.

05

Changes within the building

New tenants, office moves, floor closures or changes to reception and access routes can alter the normal pattern of the site. We update officer briefings, patrol routes and access arrangements as those changes take effect.

Security services built around how your workplace operates

Corporate security often combines a professional front-of-house presence with access control, patrols and out-of-hours response. The right arrangement depends on how the building is used, who needs access, the hours it operates and how much support is required beyond the reception or entrance.

The service is supported beyond the front desk

01

Control room support

Our officers have direct access to the control room when an incident, access issue or unexpected situation needs operational support or escalation.

02

Supervision & site checks

Our supervisors and managers remain involved in the live service, checking deployment, officer performance, site instructions and the agreed security requirements.

03

Emergency & evacuation procedures

Our officers are briefed on the site’s emergency and evacuation procedures, including the agreed routes, assembly arrangements, key contacts and the role security is expected to support during an incident. Where procedures change, the team is updated so they continue to work to the current site arrangements.

04

Client & workplace coordination

Our control room, supervisors and managers keep in contact with the client’s facilities, reception or building-management teams so operational changes, incidents and temporary arrangements are reflected in the security service.

05

Reporting & visibility

Incidents, actions and service activity are recorded and reported to the relevant client contacts, with recurring issues raised where they indicate that something in the security arrangement needs to change.

24/7 security supporting a safer Birmingham city-centre parking facility

A major Birmingham parking facility was experiencing recurring unauthorised access and drug-related activity that was affecting the environment for customers and employees. Innovative Security Solutions introduced continuous security guarding across the facility, providing a 24/7 security presence able to monitor activity, record incidents and intervene when unauthorised or disruptive behaviour was identified.

Let’s look at how your workplace operates

If you are reviewing security for an office, headquarters, business park or multi-tenant building, we can look at how people use the premises, how access is managed, what front-of-house support is needed and where the current arrangement could work better.
