Riz Dean

Security-sector leadership grounded in frontline experience, professional training and the development of structured, accountable security operations.

Riz Dean’s Leadership Principle

Security performance is not created at the point of deployment. It is built through the decisions made before, during and after mobilisation - who is recruited, how people are trained, how clearly the operation is defined, how effectively teams are supervised and how closely management remains connected to the site.

CAREER & EXPERIENCE

Experience that informs the operation

Riz began his career as a security professional and Highfield-qualified SIA trainer. That combination of frontline operational experience and training has shaped an approach built around competence, clear standards and a practical understanding of what officers and managers need to deliver effectively on site.

As Group CEO, Riz leads the strategic direction of Innovative Security Solutions and the wider Dean’s Group. His focus includes the development of security services, operational standards, training capability and the management structures required to support consistent, accountable delivery across client sites.

His background across security operations and training also gives him a practical understanding of how recruitment, competence, deployment, supervision and management oversight combine to determine the quality of the service experienced by the client.

APPROACH

How that experience shapes delivery

Riz’s approach is based on a simple operational principle: effective security requires considerably more than placing an officer on a site. Officers need to understand the environment they are protecting, the responsibilities of their post, the standards expected of them and how to respond when circumstances move outside routine operations.

That requires the right people, appropriate training, clear site instructions, effective supervision and an operational management structure that remains connected to the contract after mobilisation.

That philosophy is reflected in the company’s emphasis on directly employed teams, structured mobilisation, 24/7 operational support and continuous review – creating clearer accountability from initial deployment through to day-to-day service delivery.
